Plates: Sea tableware
Five plates handmade from clay, painted with special ceramic "paints", glazed and fired in a special kiln. Plates decorated with original beach-themed designs. For the projects, I used my old sketches from various years, where I observed and drew scenes of summer relaxation at the Tri-City seaside. I wanted these to be motifs that are close to me and most closely associated with the local Baltic climate. Situations that I saw myself, things that I touched. Actually, only in two compositions, maybe my imagination got too carried away, but the motif of the beautiful human body is very graceful and has always been present not only in art but also in design.
To sum up, I illustrated people in typical holiday poses, seagulls, shells, jellyfish, fish and waves. All in the scenery of sand, sky with clouds swirling on it, sailboats floating on the sea and large transport ships visible in the distance on the horizon. Fortunately, summer is slowly coming and we will be able to enjoy it all live again.
What "my sea tableware" is waiting for five cups that are being prepared and, of course, for guests ready for a good feast.
This time I have to say goodbye with a shout of Ahoy! sea wolves and landlubbers.
